Innovations in Marketing Education (InnovME) is a new ANZMAC-affiliated and funded scholarly community dedicated to advancing rigorous, impactful research in marketing education. Responding to the rapid transformation of higher education through generative AI, shifting student expectations, and growing demands for societal impact and employability outcomes, InnovME brings together researchers across five interconnected streams:
• AI and Digital Pedagogy in Marketing: Research on generative AI, learning analytics, cognitive engagement, assessment redesign and academic integrity in marketing curricula.
• Curriculum Innovation and Accreditation Alignment: Scholarship examining curriculum transformation, industry integration, assurance of learning, and global accreditation frameworks.
• Student Experience, Employability and Wellbeing: Research exploring capability development, work-integrated learning, identity formation, and the emerging issue of “cognitive debt” in AI-supported learning environments.
• Marketing Education for Societal Impact: Embedding sustainability, ethics, Indigenous perspectives, inclusion, and social justice into marketing teaching and curriculum design.
• Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) in Marketing: Methodological advancement in marketing education research, including experimental designs, qualitative pedagogical inquiry, multimodal analysis and interdisciplinary approaches.
InnovME serves as a collaborative group for research development, early career mentoring, cross-institutional projects, and publication pipelines. We warmly invite marketing educators and researchers across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond to join us.
